The Mark Davis/Dennis Allen meeting narrative has once again taken another soap opera like twist.
Despite being at the Raiders facility all day on Tuesday and leaving at 5:00 p.m., Dennis Allen has yet to meet with Davis and the Raiders owner told Raiders insider Steve Corkran that he “might” meet his head coach tonight.
Raiders owner Mark Davis said by phone that he has not met with coach Dennis Allen yet, but “I might” tonight. Fluid situation.

CSN Bay Area is also reporting that they have a source confirming that the Davis/Allen meeting will be going on tonight.
A source just told @FallonSmithCSN + I that a meeting w/ Dennis Allen and Mark Davis is happening tonight and could “going on as we speak.”

With so many reports coming out every hour, and the drama surrounding the Raiders front office and coaching staff involving Davis’ insistence of the Oakland coaching staff signing one year deals the lack of a final result out of the meeting between coach and owner increases the potential of an out of nowhere development. As of now most are sticking to the reports that Allen will remain the Raiders head coach once all is settled, but the fates of members of the coaching staff are already being discussed as a handful of assistants are still up in the air. Whatever the end result, the unfolding of Mark Davis beginning to the 2014 offseason has shown that the apple might not fall far from the tree when it comes to marching to the beat of their own drum in ownership dealings.
