NFL free agency unofficially begins on Saturday when teams are allowed to open discussions with free agents who they are interested in. With that being said Just Blog Baby begins our preview of the top 2014 FA’s beginning with the top 10 quarterbacks available in what is a down year under center for teams that are looking at bringing in a veteran signal caller.

Age: 26
2013 Stats: 571 passing yards, 2 TD’s, 4 INT’s, 42.9% completion percentage (4 games)
Career Stats: 13,724 passing yards, 80 TD’s, 67 INT’s, 57.6% completion percentage, 60 career starts
A good fit if….: You need a veteran to come in right away/you don’t want to start a rookie quarterback.
Freeman tops our list of the top free agent quarterbacks by default as he is the youngest of the group of broken down veterans that litter the list of 2014 FA’s. After the debacle in Tampa Bay this season where it was clear Greg Schiano did not want Freeman as his quarterback over rookie Mike Glennon and the subsequent move to the Vikings where he was thrown into the fire on short notice against the Giants on Monday Night Football it is clear Freeman’s stock has taken a hit. However the 26 year old has upside that a lot of these quarterbacks do not have and that potential to recapture his promising form and recover to be a long term starter is a huge plus. Some on this list may have more talent right now, but none of those players have the potential upside the former Buccaneer has going for him.
