After staying where they were in the opening two rounds of the 2014 NFL Draft, the Oakland Raiders and general manager Reggie McKenzie have opted to swap picks with the Miami Dolphins in Round 3 in order to pick up a selection in the fourth round of tomorrow’s draft proceedings.
The Raiders now have Miami’s No. 81 pick in round three, picking up No. 116 tomorrow to allow the Dolphins to select Billy Turner from North Dakota State with the Oakland selection.
The Raiders have traded down in the third round. Miami gets No. 67. #Raiders now have picks No. 81 (third round), No. 116 (fourth round).

Trading down is a smart value move by McKenzie as he waited until the third round to make his move to add more Saturday picks to his collection, opting not to lose quality in the opening two rounds before moving down slightly in round three to pick up a fourth round pick tomorrow. Expect the Raiders to select the best pick available when they do come around to picking their selection in a few short moments.
