Oakland Raiders select CB Travis Carrie with 216th pick

Clearly the focus has been on defense for the Oakland Raiders as they add another CB to their roster.  The Raiders selected Travis Carrie out of Ohio.  The California native will be a good addition to the Raiders secondary as he brings above average size with ball skills, tackling, and physicality.  Furthermore, he will provide needed ability as a returner on Special Teams.

This is the first pick of 3 within the 7th round for the Raiders.  Although this is the 7th round, the Raiders are hoping to find that proverbial “Diamond in the Rough.”  Maybe Carrie is that player for the Raiders, but only time will tell.

Defense wins championships. With the pass happy Broncos and chargers in our division, we can never have enough defensive backs. I’m loving this entire off-season so far.
