It’s definitely the 7th round where teams are rounding out their rosters before entering into Rookie Mini-Camp.  The Oakland Raiders are taking a chance on a DE out of Illinois State named Shelby Harris.

The 6′ 2″ 288 pound defensive end may be small in stature for his position, but he has very long arms, good athleticism, feet and balance.  He has the ability to make his body smaller to get into gaps to attack the backfield.

The biggest issue Harris had been the fact that he had inconsistent play at times, and he has had off the field issues in the past.  Hopefully he can rectify those issues and start out as a good Special Teams player on kickoff’s.
