The long rumored joint practices involving the Oakland Raiders and the Dallas Cowboys finally have an official date for fans to circle on their calendars as the two teams who were 2013 NFL Thanksgiving Day opponents will link up for two practices together to give a nice change of pace to the early August lead up to the 2014 NFL season.
Several Raiders insiders confirmed the dates between the two teams via Twitter.
#Raiders will have joint practices with the Cowboys in Oxnard on Aug. 12 and 13. We knew this was coming. Official now.

The practices will be taking place in Oxnard as was previously reported when the possibility was discussed early in the offseason but no dates were hammered out at the time leaving fans in the dark about whether or not a rumored possibility would ever become a reality as both teams attempted to work out dates that would be in the interests of both parties. Now that the dates have been settled fans of both the Raiders as well as the Cowboys can look forward to a welcome change to the often boring routine of regular season preparations, a little competitiveness and change that likely should benefit both teams come mid-August.
