Mexico star Javier Hernandez is a Raiders fan

United States Men’s National Team striker and San Jose Earthquake Chris Wondolowski is apparently not the only World Cup player to support the Oakland Raiders when they watch the “other” football. According to the Oakland Raiders twitter account Mexico’s Javier Hernandez also is a member of the Raider Nation.

Following El Tri’s big 3-1 win over Croatia, the Oakland Raiders official twitter account congratulated Chicharito on his first goal at the World Cup.

Hernandez has also claimed his love for the Raiders on his own Twitter account and is apparently a longtime fan of the team.

The Raiders have a popular Mexican-American fanbase so it might not be a surprise that Hernandez cheers for the Raiders and followers of Just Blog Baby on twitter also informed us that Giovanni Dos Santos also has been known to wear Raiders gear and claim to be a fan of the team. Whether it be El Tri, or USMNT, some of the CONCACAF’s World Cup stars also represent Raider Nation. Something that shows the popularity of one of football’s most iconic franchises.
