Huge police presence at Oakland Raiders, Dallas Cowboys practice in Oxnard due to gangs

The Oakland Raiders and Dallas Cowboys are practicing together in Oxnard, California on Tuesday and Wednesday in an event that is exciting for the city as two of the NFL’s famous franchises will be suiting up for joint practices for two days.

However thanks to a gang problem in the City of Oxnard, including two rival gangs who apparently represent their colors by using Raiders and Cowboys gear, there is going to be an increased police presence at both practices according to Cowboys beat writer Clarence Hill who reported the presence of police on hand at the Tuesday practice session.

Hopefully the police on hand can ensure that no gang violence can ruin the experience for fans of both the Raiders and the Cowboys over the next two days. After all, the vast majority of people on hand will be looking to experience an NFL practice and potentially sharing that experience with children. The potential of gang violence hopefully will not cause those in the area from getting to have that joy on Tuesday and Wednesday.
