Despite suffering one of the worst losses in franchise history only nine days ago, the Raiders, who have now won two of three after starting the year with ten straight losses, are starting to come together as a group of young players and a few older veterans have found their roles, both for this year and for the future. In Sunday’s 24-13 victory over the reeling San Francisco 49ers, the Raiders played their best game of the year, getting stellar performances out of their young future franchise players while getting solid leadership and production from the veteran short-timers who are making brief stop-overs with the team during its rebuilding phase. As the season winds down and the franchise prepares for the fourth draft under the Reggie McKenzie administration, this Raider team has given fans a lot to look forward to in the years to come.
