Sorry, this is not breaking news but one plus one equals two is why Jim Harbaugh is coming to the Oakland Raiders come the 2015 offseason. Owner Mark Davis is tired of losing and more than that, he’s tired of getting worse instead of better every year. After narrowly missing the playoffs in 2011, Davis allowed G.M. Reggie McKenzie to come in and clean house in terms of players.

After back-to-back 4-12 seasons and an 0-4 start, head coach Dennis Allen, who McKenzie hired, was fired. Offensive line coach Tony Sparano was then given the head coaching job on an interim basis and things didn’t change much. That all equals the Raiders finishing 4-12 at best but most likely 2-14 with their remaining schedule and that means more regression.

So now Davis is ready to go all in for Harbaugh.
