A fan of the Oakland Raiders showed up to the team facilities to challenge cornerback DJ Hayden to a fight.

Oakland Raiders fans are passionate, and they are also over the top on Twitter. So when one member of the Raider Nation challenged struggling cornerback DJ Hayden to a fight, it is no surprise that hilarity ensued when the fan actually showed up to team HQ in Alameda on Wednesday morning.

Twitter user Tokthadon challenged Hayden to a fight on Twitter on Tuesday night, announcing that he would be waiting and ready at the team’s facilities on Wednesday morning if the cornerback was interested in taking him up on his offer. Surprisingly, the fan followed up on his word, and perhaps less surprisingly Hayden was nowhere to be found.

Tokthadon tweeted a photo of himself in front of the team’s facilities, declaring victory after Hayden was a no-show in the open challenge against a random Raiders fan on Twitter.

This is a hilarious Twitter stunt, but you have to imagine what would have actually happened if Hayden took up this fan on his challenge. Even if Hayden has a reputation for being soft amongst the fans, he is still an NFL player who would likely win a fight against the vast majority of Raiders fans. For everyone’s sake, Hayden made the right call in not showing up to the team facilities, leaving this as a funny Twitter joke to lighten up the early stages of the offseason.
