‘Tis the season for NFL Draft smokescreens, with the latest rumors being that teams are concerned about Myles Jack’s knee — so much so, that he could slide on day one of the draft.

Well, just in case there is more truth than smoke, Reggie McKenzie and the Oakland Raiders are doing their homework.

According to Matt Miller of Bleacher Report:

The timing of this is interesting, as the Raiders likely haven’t felt they had at chance at Jack until recently.

Still, the safe bet is that Jack will be gone and the team is just doing it’s due diligence. Teams like to use scenarios to go with their draft boards, so Jack is likely just one more scenario the Raiders will add to the mix.

But if Jack is available, you’d have to think he’s the pick. Miller does think there is a chance Jack could fall to Oakland, or even farther:

Only six more days to the draft. Hang in there everyone.
