Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr cracked the NFL’s Top 100 players list for the first time in his career.
After a successful sophomore season that included a road win over the eventual Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr put his name on the map as one of the NFL’s top young quarterbacks. Something that was recognized when Carr went to his first Pro Bowl at the end of the 2015 season.
Carr was also recently recognized by making his first appearance in the NFL’s annual Top 100 player rankings, a milestone for the quarterback even if his ranking was a bit lower than one would want. Carr just making the Top 100 as the 100th ranked player of 2015 according to the NFL Network.
Von Miller also added to the praise of Carr as the 100th ranked player in the league, claiming that one of his rivals in the AFC West is amongst his favorite quarterbacks in the NFL right now.
Carr is definitely deserving of his first NFL 100 appearance and some may argue that he should have been ranked even higher for his play in 2015. Winning big games for the Raiders in the division and pointing the team in an upwards direction going into 2016, everything appears to be falling in place for Carr to become one of the NFL’s star quarterbacks. His potential and work ethic that has earned the respect of the league are a big reason for Carr being viewed as one of the best in the game, something Raiders fans hope helps lead the team to a Super Bowl in the coming years.
