The Oakland Raiders find themselves in unfamiliar territory this offseason, at least when it comes to recent history. The roster is filled with talent, and the final cuts down to 53 players will see some quality talent let go. A few notable names might even be let go when the roster gets trimmed down to 75 players.

To make the decisions on which players will make the cut, how players perform in camp will certainly be a factor. Most of the starting positions seem to be locked up, but there are still a few spots where things can change. And at several different positions, there are multiple players who are capable of grabbing a roster spot.

These positional battles are always fun to track, as they push competition to a very high level, and typically bring out everyone’s best. There is usually at least one or two surprise players who make a name for themselves in camp every year, and the team has a quality crop of UDFA’s, so this is certainly a possibility this offseason.

Mandatory Mini-Camp begins on June 14th. Let’s take a look at which positional battles are the ones to watch.
