NFL Network viewers selected Oakland Raiders legend Charles Woodson as the retired player they would most like to see coach in a recent poll.

Recently retired Oakland Raiders legend Charles Woodson is preparing to transition into the broadcasting arena with ESPN this season, but according to a recent poll there are fans who would like to see the greatest of all-time lend his hand as a coach one day.

The NFL Network ran a poll this week asking fans which former player they would want to see coach. Woodson winning the vote with 40%, edging out Peyton Manning on the NFL Network poll as there is a pocket of football fans who would like to see Woodson on their coaching staff one day.

Marshawn Lynch came third in the poll while Calvin Johnson finished last with just 10% of the vote as fans were split between Woodson and Manning as the two clear favorites to become coaches one day.

It appears that Woodson is more interested in earning his living in the media world than staying in the locker room and on the sidelines right now. After a long career it is hard to see Woodson buying into the long hours of being a coach in the NFL anytime soon. Never say never, but fans are likely dreaming of Woodson becoming a coach as the Raiders legend has a nice spot with ESPN that would be hard to pass up.
