The Oakland Raiders have done a nice job revamping this roster for the 2019 season, and here are four guys who must be better.

It has been a crazy offseason for the Oakland Raiders, as they look to bounce back from a four-win season from a year ago. The craziness started early on, when the team brought in a former draft analyst to be their new general manager, signing Mike Mayock away from the NFL Network.

Since then, Mayock has put on the GM hat, and done it well, bringing in some elite talent on both sides of the ball. He got the ball rolling by trading a fifth and third round pick to the Pittsburgh Steelers for Antonio Brown, and has not looked back since.

In free agency, he patched up holes at offensive tackle, in the secondary, and at linebacker, while utilizing his draft capital to bring in guys to fix their biggest need, defensive tackle. In the first round, he grabbed Clemson’s Clelin Ferrell, who may have been a surprising pick at No. 4 overall, but he is a tremendous player who fits this defense perfectly.

With all these new faces, as much as half the starters this season could be different, but in this piece, we look at those returning starters who need to be better in 2019. We will kick things off with a defensive end who needs to improve in year two.
