The Las Vegas Raiders were thrown a curveball with their schedule last year, but this season can make up for it. Here are three observations on the Raiders’ 2020 schedule.

The final season in Oakland may have been significant for the fan base, but the sentiment may not have been mutual for the NFL schedule makers last year. Still, the Raiders finished 7-9 after a five-week stretch on the road, and for a brief moment, they managed to find themselves in contention to be atop the AFC West.

Looking ahead to the 2020 season, will the schedule prove to be another obstacle once again?

There are a number of ways to calculate the strength of schedule, and according to one aggregate consensus that takes into account last year’s win totals in addition to post free agency moves, the Las Vegas Raiders have the sixth toughest schedule in 2020. Some factors must be put into perspective, but others are very well in play for the franchise’s inaugural season in Sin City.

It will be up to Jon Gruden and staff to get this roster prepared to endure any tough stretches and take advantage of any assists thrown their way. Here are three thoughts on the Raiders’ 2020 schedule.
