Whatever the case, this is yet another poorly handled situation by the league office. Goodell must be reading from the Bud Selig book on boneheaded decision making. The NFL never should have stuck its nose in the NCAA’s business. After months of contentious relations with the NFLPA all this has done is reignite the fire lit by the lockout.

Forget about Pryor being able to play. That isn’t likely to happen even if he weren’t serving his suspension. Yes, losing money is not a good thing either. But to quote Big Worm, it’s the principality.
