On Sunday Kevin Boss is slated to make his highly anticipated Raider debut and it couldn’t come at a better time.

Though he has yet to make a regular season play in Silver and Black, Boss is already making Raider Nation forget about Zach Miller. Partly because Miller is quickly becoming forgotten due to his decision to follow Tom Cable to the football netherworld known as Seattle but also because Boss brings a new dimension to the already explosion Oakland offense.

Thus far Jason Campbell has been both efficient and explosive.  Keep in mind most of what JC and the Oakland O has accomplished has come with a major litany of injuries in the receiving corps. Denarius Moore is making Louis Murphy, Chaz Schilens and Darrius Heyward-Bey forgettable. But it’s Boss who could become the key that unlocks every weapon in the offense.

As a blocker Boss bests Miller by a long shot. As a red zone weapon again it’s Boss with the green light to become the player Oakland has lacked inside the 20.

With just a brief glimpse in the preseason the Raiders saw all they needed to assure that 4-year deal swung Boss’ way was well worth it.
