Bill Romanowski Thinks Raiders Should Hunt For Bacon

Let this be a lesson to all you kids out there. Banging your head into human beings for a living and pumping your body with steroids will make you crazy. And we’re not talking that Lady Gaga, wearing skirt steak drawls kind of crazy either. No, this is Bill Romanowski crazy.

What is Romanowski crazy, you might ask?

Well, if you’re not already knowing then check the video below. Seems Romo thinks the problems that plague the Raiders relate to their shopping habits. Romanowski compared the Raiders to bacon eaters that get their product of choice from a grocery store. He thinks Hue Jackson needs his men to be hunting for bacon in the wild.

Bill Romanowski Wants to See the Bully in Rolando McClain

Hue Jackson had one mission coming into training camp. He wanted to build a bully. Though the results have been mixed week-in and week-out none can deny the bullying mentality taken on by the men in the trenches.

Oakland’s offensive line has been the most consistently performing unit on the team with their defensive counterparts earning some high marks as well. The O-line has protected Jason Campbell like the secret service does the president while pushing around opponents to give Darren McFadden huge holes to run through.

While the D-line has been up and down there is no doubt that when on its game there isn’t a tougher group of defenders to deal with in the league.

Unfortunately that bullying mentality hasn’t translated to all members of the Silver and Black. We’re still waiting for the linebackers to get into the beat-em-up spirit of things.

As a rookie middle linebacker Rolando McClain earned the benefit of the doubt. Not only was he playing one of the more demanding positions in all of football but he was also replacing a highly productive hometown product in Kirk Morrison.

McClain showed steady improvement during his fist lap around the NFL so it seemed only logical his stock would continue to climb during his second season. So far he’s been consistently invisible.

Former Raider turned broadcaster Bill Romanowski knows a thing or two about being a bully and he’s not seeing it in McClain. On CSN Romo called out McClain for his continued disappearing act.

“Rolando McClain, I don’t see him. He’s 6-4, 255. Make some plays. I want to see the guy knock the crap out of some people. Be around the football.”

Now is the Time for Raiders to Gamble on T.O.

Disclaimer: In no way am I advocating for the Oakland Raiders to pursue the services of Terrell Owens. He represents everything that is wrong with humanity and rumor has it Owens eats the heart of a small Salvadorian child every night before going to bed. I pray Al Davis does not have any true desire to sign the poster child of locker room cancer but if Mr. Davis can force me to root for Bill Romanowski then why not T.O.? For the record I was sober when I wrote this but will quickly shower and go to happy hour upon completion of this post.

In case you skipped over the disclaimer above this is by no means an endorsement of Terrell Owens. However, its impossible to have a season go by in which someone doesn’t speculate that Al Davis will pursue a free agent diva head case of a receiver named Owens.

So, if ever there was a time for Davis to roll the dice on Owens its now.

Well…not like right this very second. More like once the season has started. Once Owens can prove he’s fully recovered from his ACL surgery. Once Owens is desperate enough that his ego will settle for being an ancillary part of an up and coming team. Once Davis is desperate enough to add a high risk veteran to a young and talented group of receivers.
