A long time ago in a in a galaxy far, far away George Lucas was once considered a genius. The creative mind behind Star Wars authored one of the great modern mythological film franchises known to mankind…and then he crapped the bed with three newer films of which we will not speak.

So paranoid in his delusional state is Lucas that he now spends his days trolling the internet to make sure nobody is finding any inspiration in the few remaining nuggets of greatness he once gave us. As if the iron fist with which Lucas rules over his fading empire weren’t enough he’s now making sure there is no intersection between Raider Nation and Star Wars as evident by the cease and desist letter Lucasfilm Ltd. sent to Tarnation Sports for their “Vaders” T-Shirt.

Lucas has given the folks at Tarnation five days (four now…gulp) to get the Vaders T off their website…or else!

Never mind the fact that Tarnation Sports proudly flies a disclaimer on their website fully explaining that their clothing is “satirical in nature” or that none of their products are “endorsed or licensed by any organization”. Or you could just do what the Lucas legal staff did and ignore all of the other countless Star Wars parody shirts being sold in cyberspace (go ahead, Google Stars Wars parody T-Shirts and see how many come up…I’ll wait) .

So if you want to stick it to Lucas, feel free to swoop up a Vaders shirt now before they’re gone forever. Lucas might not like the fact that his product has found a new hope (did you catch that reference, Star Wars geeks?) in Raider Nation but what he doesn’t realize is that the Silver and Black empire will strike back.
