At 8:00am Chiefs’ linebacker Jovan Belcher fatally shot a woman reported to be his girlfriend in their home before driving to the team facility at Arrowhead Stadium where he then took his own life.

According to reports, Belcher was confronted by coaches upon his arrival at Arrowhead when it was observed that he was bearing a firearm. Once police were onsite Belcher took the gun to his head.

Hate to even mention this but the NFL has advised the Carolina Panthers to continue with their travel plans to Kansas City as tomorrow’s game is still going to be played.

The lone opinion I will inject into this awful incident is that the truly saddening fact in all of this senseless death is that there is now a three month old child that will grow up without either of its parents.
