You know what time it is, Nation. Our Raiders are in the ATL and JBB wants to get you prepped in the only way we know how – by harassing a blogger for the Falcons with our patented 5 quirky questions.

Greg Huseth is the senior editor of Blogging Dirty and if you stop by there often enough then you know that’s exactly what he and his staff do. But how will he handle the pressure of our Out Of Bounds blitz? For that answer keep your eyes moving towards the (Dirty) South.

Q: If Matt Ryan hosted SNL what would be the premise of one of the sketches he performs in?

A: I think the sketch would probably have to do with saying the most politically correct thing possible to the media. In Atlanta both Ryan and head coach Mike Smith are well known for always saying the right thing, not giving other teams bulletin board material, that sort of thing. It might be something that isn’t well known around the league, but that would be a huge, great, terrific joke that Atlanta fans would get.

Q: Roddy White receiving yards or Darren McFadden rushing yards: Which will be greater on Sunday?

A: The Falcons spread the ball around a lot when throwing the ball. I would expect White to get a solid amount of yards, but since the Raiders are expecting to re-commit to the run, I think McFadden will get more total yards than White will.

Q: Mike Smith or the Curse of Tony Gonzalez: Which is more responsible for Atlanta’s early playoff exits?

A: Is either possible? Tony Gonzalez came to the Falcons in 2009, a season after Atlanta’s first playoff appearance under the Smith/Ryan era. So it’s not him. Is it Smith, the head coach who has helped lead this team to 4 consecutive winning seasons, something unprecedented in Falcons history? Maybe. I guess it’s as much his responsibility as anyone else. I think the past offensive and defensive coordinator are most responsible, but they aren’t options in this question.

Q: If Julio Jones and Jacquizz Rodgers were a musical act what would their group be called and what would be their hit single?

A: That’s an easy one. J-man Crew. Their hit single would be ‘Tear da Turf Up’. For those of you familiar with Three 6 Mafia’s ‘Tear da Club Up’, you’ll understand.

And finally the most important question of all…

Q: Atlanta defense/special teams: Start or Sit?

A: That’s a tough one. Fantasy football defenses are all about sacks and interceptions/fumbles and if you return those for a touchdown, that’s fantasy gold. I could see the Falcons getting a couple sacks and maybe a turnover or two. I guess it really depends, because fantasy defenses are a complete crapshoot. Go with your gut. I don’t want to be responsible for messing up your fantasy season.

Well, Nation, here we are. As Michael Huff said earlier this week this is a “one-game season”. Only fitting that the Raiders will meet their SoCal rivals the Chargers with everything to play for.

Ok, so only one team has something to play for. The Silver and Black are looking to venture into the playoff waters for the first time in almost a decade.

As for the Chargers, they could also be wading into unfamiliar waters as it looks like they’ll be fishing in the head coaching pool after Sunday.

Charger faithful have been held hostage by the mediocre accomplishments of Norv Turner for far too long. Guys like Ernie Padaon, Chargers blogger extraordinaire over at Bolt Beat, have had the unfortunate pleasure of watching Turner takes his team from a title contender to a regular season pretender. Luckily for Ernie and the rest of his writers they can have a bit of a laugh amid all the mediocrity.

Now we already know all the plotlines for this one. Here at JBB we talk Raiders round the clock just like Ernie does for the Chargers on his great blog. However what we don’t know is what movie would best sum up the Turner years in San Diego or who is most likely to emerge from a cage match between Norv and A.J. Smith. Thankfully Ernie was there for us to answer such burning questions.

So without further adieu, I give you the final regular season edition of JBB’s 5 quirky questions.

Q: If the Norv Tuner years in San Diego were a movie which flick would they most be like?

A: The Titanic. Should this even be explained? I will do it anyway, just in case some of the fans don’t understand. He took over a 14-2 team and it was all nice and shiny and then he ran it into the ground. SIGH!

Q: Ryan Mathews rushing yards or Oakland Raiders penalty yards: Who is going to have more on Sunday?

A: Raiders penalty yards. I don’t even know if Ryan Mathews is going to play, but he is no match to the amount of penalty yards that your team produces. Do you guys have a contest for who can get penalized the most?

Q: If A.J. Smith and Norv Turner were locked in a steel cage with the winner getting to keep their job who comes out alive?

A: Dean Spanos is standing outside of the steel cage with his pistol shooting at both of them. NOBODY makes it out alive.

With so much riding on today’s game it seems only right that two of football’s best rivals would be meeting on Christmas Eve. One faithful-to-a-fault fan base will get a great gift under the tree while the other will have coal in their stocking. For the Chiefs it is all about respect. For the Raiders it is all about not seeing their playoff hopes get barbequed Kansas City style.

In keeping with our on going Out of Bounds Series we went back to the Arrowhead Addict well to tap our good friend Patrick Allen. As you’d expect Patrick and his fellow addicts are all fired up for today’s game. No doubt those Chief fans have been prepping their brisket for days.

Speaking of brisket, if Darren McFadden had been cooking brisket with all the time he’s been out the entire Oakland franchise would have BBQ sandwiches for the rest of the year.

But that is neither here nor there.

Right here are those five patented questions that aren’t always about the game but are always about something related to the game. As a vet of JBB’s questioning Patrick had some good answers locked and loaded. So without further adieu, here are five out of bounds questions for the Chiefs.

Q: If the 2011 season for the Kansas City Chiefs were a movie which flick would it resemble and why?

A: I would say that movie Funny People with Adam Sandler and Jonah Hill. There were some really good parts and it seemed to have a lot of potential but in the end it just wasn’t good enough.

Q: Bigger bane of Todd Haley: Injuries, attitude or the beard?

A: Injuries had to hurt him but it is definitely the attitude. If you are going to be a dick of a head coach then you have to be awesome at it and you have to win a lot. Take a guy like Tom Coughlin. His own players hate him. He is a jerk. But he won a Super Bowl. So that has kept him around. Otherwise his ass would be gone. If you are a decent coach, and I think Haley is a decent coach, and you are a heck of a nice guy, and you get hit with injuries, folks will feel bad for you. If you’re a dick, you don’t get the benefit of the doubt. 2010 AFC West Championship or not, Haley had too many questionable moves throughout his time in KC to not win this season.

Q: Romeo Crennel or Kyle Orton: Who is more likely to be in Kansas City one year from now?

A: Crennel. Even if Orton wins these next two games for KC, Pioli is going to have a tough time bringing him back. Cassel is already signed and if Orton plays well, there is likely going to be a team out there that will want him as a starter next year. In KC, he’ll have to fight for a starting job.

The only way I see him starting in KC next year is if the Chiefs manage to win the division and win a playoff game. Hell, if he wins a playoff game they’ll erect a statue of him in KC.
