The Oakland Raiders had an outstanding draft adding the most dominant Raider rookie class in decades. We will start with wide receiver Jacoby Ford. I know, I know, borderline man crush! The kid has a great fundamental skill set, great hands, tenacity, and playmaking ability that we have not seen in a wide receiver in years. Jacoby has 868 return yards (24 yards per) and two visits to pay dirt. He is averaging 19.1 yards per reception and two more touchdowns.

Lamarr Houston, defensive end/tackle. Lamarr plays like he is upset at the world. He treats offensive linemen and quarterbacks like they said something personal about his mama. I knew I would like Lamarr when stories leaked out of training camp with Lamarr getting into fights with his own offensive line men. Lamarr has 4 sacks, 5 assists and one fumble in limited time for the leagues sack leading defense. I’m sure he is taking advantage of working with future Hall of Famer Richard Seymour every minute in practice.

Rolando McClain is becoming all that we expected in a first round pick. Rolando stats do not jump out at you but his desire, abilities, ferocious hits and nose for the ball generates great excitement for the Raider Nation. He is the Nation’s future and the future has never looked better.

Keep an eye out for Jared Veldheer (OL), Stevie Brown (S) and Travis Goethel (LB) who have shown flashes of brilliance and may be big contributors in our run for the AFC Championship!

Go Raiders!
