2013 Stats: 61 tackles, 4 INTs

Reggie McKenzie loves his guys and Shields is a talented cornerback he can add. There are some rumblings out there that the Raiders are interested in bringing in Shields or the number one cornerback and that makes a ton of sense. Adding a highly skilled playmaking cornerback to play opposite of Hayden allows the young first round pick to grow into a more dominant role. Shields does have an injury history, but when he plays he is a difference maker and his skill set is identical to what the Raiders have sought. Adding him or the next free agent is almost a necessity because both players will actually be worth the money they are set to receive.
