4. LeGarrette Blount

Age: 27

2013 Stats: 153 atts, 772yds, 7 TDs (16 games)

Career Stats: 579 atts, 2,711yds, 20 TDs.

LeGarrette Blount was part of New England’s running back by committee backfield with Shane Vereen, Stevan Ridley, and Brandon Bolden. Blount and Ridley split the carries fairly evenly but Blount lead the way with 5.0 yards per attempt. He is a big, bruising back who also has decent top end speed that saw him gash the Colts in the playoffs for 166 yards. Blount also handled kickoff return duties for the Patriots so he can be a versatile player. The Oregon back would be a perfect fit in Oakland as he is precisely the type of back the Raiders need. He would not be cheap if the Patriots let him test free agency because he showed late in the season that he can be a feature back but he is certainly worth a look.
