Denarius Moore Brice Butler Should Stick

Let’s get back to football!

Since coming into power, it seems as though G.M. Reggie McKenzie is trying to overhaul the Raiders receiver corps. He found undrafted free agent gem Rod Streater in 2012 and Andre Holmes was brought in last year and they will be the starters. James Jones was brought in from the Packers this year as the third man in and he’s looking for a role for former Cleveland Brown Greg LIttle.

Then you have 2012 5th-round pick Juron Criner along with this year’s undrafted free agents Mike Davis and Greg Jenkins. The Raiders kept seven receivers last year and I’m assuming that’s the plan this year so right now,  the receiver position is crowded. And it has been reported that both Denarius Moore and Brice Butler were on the roster bubble going into Week 1 of the preseason.

And after they both turned in good performances in the game, they came back and did well in the joint practice. Vic Tafur of the San Francisco Gate via Twitter said, “Moore and Butler both made Cowboys CB Claiborne look bad in an otherwise decent showing by Raiders receivers.” Little is still dropping passes and Criner isn’t doing much so this is making me believe that Moore and Butler are going to stick.
