Justin Tuck

From what I’ve seen lately, 9-year vet. Justin Tuck still has it at a high level to get after opposing quarterbacks. Of all the veterans that McKenzie added to the defense, Tuck is the least questionable of them all.  He had 11 sacks to lead his then New York Giants and was a monster against the run last year.

In the Raiders’ base 4-3, he’ll be the base-end and in passing situations, Tuck will kick inside to defensive tackle. He’s going to wreak all kinds of havoc against guards with the speed mismatch he’ll present.I’m  expecting  Tuck to have a big year in Silver and Black this year with a ditto of his 11 sacks from 2013.

At age 30 without any big injuries during his career, Tuck has at least two great years of football left in him too. If  he learned enough from former teammate Michael Strahan, he could  last until he’s 35. Speaking of Strahan, that is the type of leadership I am expecting from Tuck as that was the way he was led by Strahan to a Super Bowl win over the New England Patriots to end the 2007 season.
