Sunday, ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reported that Davis is considering making big changes that include McKenzie. Davis is also prepared to spend big money on an impact head coach so that means he’s ready to give him what he wants. This impact head coach will have the authority to clean out the whole front office and bring in his own guys to work with.

That is what you call an existing G.M.s worst nightmare, especially when the G.M. isn’t familiar with the new head coach. McKenzie didn’t want to lose his authority when hired so neither of his head coaching hires had a big name. But since the Raiders didn’t win that way, Davis is looking for a big name and if McKenzie is still there or not, the head coach will have final say.
