Reggie McKenzie enters his seventh NFL Draft as the Oakland Raiders general manager. But can Raider Nation trust him to make the right picks?

Once again the Oakland Raiders find themselves in need of some serious talent upgrades in this year’s NFL draft. Though Oakland was busy during free agency if Jon Gruden and Reggie McKenzie want long-term success they need to bring in top-notch young talent.

For Gruden, this will be his first draft in a decade so it’ll be interesting to see how to can assess today’s college players for real. However, for McKenzie, fans are beginning to lose their patience with his ability to accurately scout prospects.

Last week my fellow Just Blog Baby writer Anthony Hardin did a great piece on how McKenzie is very likely drafting for his own future on April 27th. When you begin to look at his draft history as a whole, there is no doubt Anthony is on to something.

I decided to go even more in-depth a take a look at the McKenzie draft history year by year. Evaluating the picks both on how they were perceived at the time and how they aged.
