Derek Carr

It all starts with the quarterback, and in Derek Carr, the Raiders have a good one. Sure, he has not looked great on occasion this season, mostly due to the fact he is once again learning a new offense, and is playing behind two rookie tackles in Kolton Miller and Brandon Parker.

Outside of this past weekend against the Baltimore Ravens, Carr has been putting up career numbers this season, despite the fact the team traded away his best wideout at the trade deadline. Carr has been throwing the ball to guys like Seth Roberts, Marcell Ateman, and Jordy Nelson for most of the season, so it is amazing he is putting up numbers at all.

The Raiders have one of the better interior offensive line groups in the NFL, and the tackles are only going to get better. There is no way the Raiders can afford to hit the reset button on the quarterback position, not when they already have a guy who is a proven player at the NFL level, and is just entering his prime.
