Rashaan Melvin

In the summer I thought Rashaan Melvin would be one of the best lowkey signings of the season. He alongside Gareon Conley was supposed to be a legit tandem, but despite Melvin showing flashes especially against the run, the fit was never great.

His season was marked by inconsistent play and friction between him and the coaching staff over technique. This led to him only getting 7 snaps in week 6 and being benched by the coaches in week 8.

This was supposed to be the season Melvin truly broke out and made himself a good amount of money in the upcoming offseason, but those hopes never came to fruition.

It is doubtful that Melvin will return to the team and that’s unfortunate when you consider how much promise this signing had back in March.
