Close the chapter the right way

Anytime a team leaves a City, it is usually devastating for the fan base, especially a team who is as beloved as the Oakland Raiders. The Raiders have spent the last 15 years at the Coliseum, and while it is run-down, it is home.

The Raiders have left Oakland before,  heading to Los Angeles for the 1982 season, and staying there until 1994. However, this one feels permanent, as the team broke ground on a $1.8 billion stadium, and will look to begin play as the Las Vegas Raiders in 2020.

While this is hard for those die hard fans in Oakland, maybe one more season in the Coliseum can help soften the blow of the team moving. Either way, nobody wants to see the “Oakland” Raiders play outside of Oakland during their final season before leaving for Las Vegas, especially not in San Francisco.
