27. Oakland Raiders (from DAL) Brian Burns, DE, Florida State

A glaring need for the Raiders is pass rush. Although some will say we should select one with the No. 4 pick, I don’t think so. After Bosa and Allen, there is a fall off in talent. And because this draft class is so deep on defense, we can wait until the No. 27 pick to take a pass rusher. Fill in Brian Burns, one of the best edge players in this draft. His 4.53 40 is very good, and often overlooked by Montez Sweat’s 40-yard time. I believe Burns is a day one starter opposite of Arden Key.

28. Los Angeles Chargers Dexter Lawrence, DT, Clemson

The Chargers have some outstanding pass rushers on that defensive line, Joey Bosa, Uchenna Nwosu, and Melvin Ingram. But all three of those guys play the outside. What they are missing is someone to plug the middle of the defense. Fill in 342-pounder Dexter Lawrence, who put up the most bench press reps for defensive linemen, and they have their guy. Lawrence can plug the middle and improve this defense tremendously.

29. Kansas City Chiefs Rock Ya-Sin, CB, Temple

The Chiefs splashed with the signing of Tyrann Mathieu, one of the best safeties in the NFL. Now, they need to sure that secondary up by getting the best corner available, and that could be Temple’s Rock Ya-sin this late in round one. The guy is very athletic, and I really like his skill set. He’s not known by many, but he should.

30. Green Bay Packers (from NO) Devin Bush, ILB, Michigan

Devin Bush is a guy who can play sideline to sideline and come up and make the big hits. The Green Bay Packers need linebackers, and Bush is that big physical backer that will lay the hammer on opposing players. This pick will boost that defense tremendously.

31. Los Angeles Rams Noah Fant, TE, Iowa

The Los Angeles Rams made it all the way to the Super Bowl this past season, although they failed to show up on offense against the New England Patriots. One area of need on their offense is at the tight end position, and Noah Fant may be too good to fall out of the first round. If the Rams can get him at No. 31, they have done something right.

32. New England Patriots Dalton Risner, OT, Kansas State

The Patriots just lost their offensive tackle to the Oakland Raiders. Although they took Isaiah Wynn last year in the first round, they need two starting tackles. Wynn is the perfect candidate to play left tackle and they could bring in Dalton Risner to play on the left. Risner is the most pro-ready tackle coming out. He should be able to step in right away and fill the RT position.
