Key additions and losses

The Kansas City Chiefs will have a new-look defense in 2019, as they got rid of some of their veteran leaders this offseason. Guys like Dee Ford, Eric Berry, and Justin Houston are all gone from last year’s team, which could be a good thing for the Chiefs, who really struggled on that side of the ball last season.

The additions were plentiful on defense, as stars like Tyrann Mathieu, Frank Clark, and Emmanuel Ogbah will now put on the Chiefs uniform. On the offensive side of the ball, Carlos Hyde will join a pretty crowded running back group, with Mecole Hardman becoming a speed weapon on the outside after being selected in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Overall, the Chiefs have more talent than they did last year, but they could suffer a major loss before the season begins. There is still no word on a pending suspension for Tyreek Hill,  their outstanding wide receiver who has had more than his fair share off issues off the football field during his career.
