Prediction

The Raiders are going to put up a ton of points, but it will not be enough. The Raiders defense has improved a ton, but they still won’t be able to stop Patrick Mahomes from throwing three touchdowns or more.

The Raiders improved pass rush more than likely won’t be good enough to get to Mahomes often, and although Gareon Conley could lock down Sammy Watkins, Travis Kelce should have a big game against the Raiders linebackers.

The Raiders only chance to win this game is to run Josh Jacobs all day and keep the Chiefs offense off the field, but even that may not be enough. The Raiders looked much better in Week 1, but keep in mind that the Broncos are almost a complete opposite team of the Chiefs.

The Raiders stopped Joe Flacco, but Mahomes is a different story, even without his best weapon. If the Raiders can come out and stop the Chiefs offense even in the slightest, the Raiders will put the league on notice, being considered a legitimate threat to make a playoff run.

The Raiders are going to impress people in this game, but their performance won’t be enough. I can’t see Derek Carr winning a shootout against Patrick Mahomes, but if the Raiders can keep the pocket clean like they did last week, the Raiders will have a chance.

Prediction: Raiders 24, Chiefs 38
