Maurice Hurst

After a promising rookie year, the young defensive tackle has been relatively quiet through the first two games of his sophomore campaign. Maurice Hurst infamously lead Oakland with four sacks last season, yet hasn’t registered a single quarterback pressure in 2019, according to Pro Football Reference.

Despite these early season struggles, he has a perfect opportunity to get back on track in Week 3.

The Vikings have a rookie starting at center, Garrett Bradbury, who has struggled in pass protection during his young NFL career (see below). Luckily for the Raiders, Minnesota’s woes on the offensive line don’t stop with Bradbury, as the entire unit ranks in the bottom tier of the NFL, according to Pro Football Focus.

In other words, Hurst should break out of his “slump” this week and get pressure on Kirk Cousins.
