Kansas City Chiefs at Detroit Lions

The juggernaut that is the Kansas City Chiefs will roll into the Motor City on Sunday, as they take on a surprisingly good Detroit Lions team, who is 2-0-1 this season. The Lions beat a very good Philadelphia Eagles team on the road last weekend, but the Chiefs are on another level right now, and should bring the Lions back down to earth.

Reigning NFL Most Valuable Player Patrick Mahomes is a special player, and he is going to go off in this one. The Lions have plenty of soft spots in their secondary, and as we saw last week against a very good Baltimore Ravens defense, Mahomes can make any play he wants, any time he wants.

Look for the Chiefs to roll in this one, as Mahomes racks up at least three more touchdowns through the air. Many believed he could not duplicate the statistics he put up during the 2018 season, but through the first three weeks of the season, he is on pace to blow those numbers out of the water.

Prediction: Chiefs 34 Lions 21
