Oakland Raiders at New York Jets: 3 players to watch in Week 12
2. Jamal Adams
Perhaps no player on the Jets has been talked about more than Jamal Adams this season. From the rumors of a trade at the deadline to his disappointment in how the organization handled it all, Adams has been in the spotlight a lot this season. That should not disguise the fact that Adams has been playing at an All-Pro level this season, especially in recent weeks.
In his last three games, Adams has six sacks, 16 solo tackles, and five tackles for loss. This is coming from Adams who plays *checks notes* safety. The Jets defense has improved steadily over the course of the season and Adams is a huge reason why.
With cleverly disguised blitzes. Adams has been tearing it up in opposing backfields recently and we could see the same thing happen on Sunday. In addition to his ability to blitz, Adams is a great ball hawking safety.
The Raiders need to keep tabs on Adams at all times on Sunday, perhaps utilizing Ingold and Jacobs to pick up his blitzes will be the best move. Regardless, keep an eye on Adams to see what kind of impact he has on Sunday. If Adams has his way, it could be a very long day for the Silver and Black.
