Week 12: Raiders at Falcons

The Falcons entered 2019 with sizeable expectations, but ultimately fell to a 7-9 record, and it nearly cost head coach Dan Quinn his job. Now, in 2020, they’ll play host to the Raiders during Week 12 after Las Vegas puts two division games in the rearview mirror prior to taking flight towards Atlanta.

The Raiders haven’t beat the Falcons since 2000 but Atlanta has most recently seen some of their top contributors part ways after last season. Quarterback Matt Ryan and the Falcons offense is always the driving force for the franchise to win games, and he returns, as does his top weapon in Julio Jones. 2020 is likely to be no different, although, the Raiders’ offense now matches up much better for potential shootouts.

The addition of Henry Ruggs, Bryan Edwards and Lynn Bowden Jr all project to be vital options for Gruden’s playcalling. In a game against the Falcons which could take a lot of points to come away victorious, these three rookies could be highly depended on to match with the talent of Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley.
