Las Vegas Raiders 2020 draft class could produce four immediate starters
Tanner Muse or Amik Robertson
This is where it gets a bit tricky, as both Tanner Muse and Amik Robertson could find their way into the starting lineup in Week 1. Robertson was the team’s final 2020 draft pick, and he plays with the kind of passion that head coach Jon Gruden loves.
He is currently behind Lamarcus Joyner, who has been called out this summer for his lack of tackling last season. While Robertson is not an elite tackler either, Joyner could be moved into the safety position, a spot where he played his best football as a member of the Los Angeles Rams a few years ago.
In Muse, the Raiders like his ability to cover, an area that was a huge issue with the Raiders linebacker corps last season. The third linebacker spot is still wide open, with Cory Littleton and Nick Kwiatkoski ingrained as the starters, so a solid finish to camp could lead to Muse cracking the starting lineup as a rookie.
Next. Las Vegas Raiders QB Derek Carr having a great camp, as expected. dark
As it stands, it looks like both John Simpson and Lynn Bowden Jr. will not be in the starting lineup in 2020 to begin with, and Bowden may never be a starter for the team. Simpson is a year away from taking over for either Gabe Jackson or Richie Incognito, although injuries could move that time frame up, while Bowden will be a complimentary back to Josh Jacobs as long as No. 28 is in the Silver and Black.
