AFC West 2020 Week 4 predictions: Raiders try to keep pace with Chiefs

Denver Broncos (0-3) at New York Jets (0-3)

This might be the worst game of the NFL schedule and it comes to us on the showcase that is Thursday Night Football. The New York Jets are perhaps the worst team in football thanks to a complete lack of weapons on either side of the ball and the coaching, or lack thereof, of Adam Gase.

They have been outscored by 57 points combined in three games and are currently starting a 37-year-old at running back. The Jets have been decimated by injuries and players opting out of the season but even with a full squad they were likely not going to win many games.

The Denver Broncos on the other hand had the look of a solid squad coming in to the season, but have had horrid luck with injuries starting with Von Miller’s injury in training camp. They have since lost several starters on both sides of the ball including QB Drew Lock, but that looks to be a short term injury.

Lock looked solid in their Week 1 loss against Tennessee but it may be too little too late for their season by the time he comes back.

The primary differentiator at this point between both teams is the quarterback position. Denver has the better roster, but Sam Darnold, for all his flaws, is a better quarterback than whoever the Broncos throw out at this point. Going 0-4 would essentially end Denver’s season before it really gets started and that would be great news for Raider Nation.

Prediction: Jets win 16-10
