Las Vegas Raiders 2020 recap: 4 things we learned in September

Raiders in bottom 10 least penalized teams

Perhaps a sign of good things to come. The Raiders entered Week 3 as the second-least penalized team in the NFL, trailing only the Patriots of course. Even after a relatively sloppy performance penalty wise, the Raiders are bottom-10 in penalties according to NFLpenalties.com.

So far, through three games, the Raiders are the 9th least penalized team in the league. They are tied for third in penalty differential, and rank 27th in penalty yards with 93 going against the team. Gruden’s famous call for better *bleeping* execution may finally be coming to fruition and this team seems to have cleaned up their image in their inaugural season in Vegas.

The first two games of the season was a sight to see, as for once, the other team was snake-bitten by penalties. Anytime the Raiders play the Patriots, it seems like the flags always go the other way, and hopefully they can clean things up against a tough Buffalo Bills team in Week 4.
