Trayvon Mullen, Cornerback

Coming off a not so spectacular showing vs Stefon Diggs and the Buffalo Bills, the second-year corner is facing a challenge that may be even more daunting. Sure, the scheme could have played a big part in the coverage vs the Bills, but whatever the case, Mullen has the tough task of trying to tame the “Cheetah” this week.

Tyreek Hill is unlike any wide receiver in the NFL, not only does he have arguably the best quarterback in football throwing to him in Patrick Mahomes, but he is also perhaps the fastest player in the league. Hill is a match-up nightmare for all opposing cornerbacks, as his speed gives everyone headaches, and hopefully this doesn’t turn into a full blown migraine for Mullen.

Mullen has shown himself to be a true CB1 since entering the lineup last season, and his coverage of the speedster will be the difference in what could be a win or a blowout loss. If Hill goes off in this game, it opens up lanes for Travis Kelce, and that is recipe for disaster.
