AFC West Week 7 preview and predictions: Raiders host Tom Brady

Kansas City Chiefs at Denver Broncos

In the only AFC West showdown of the weekend, the Kansas City Chiefs will hit the road to take on a Denver Broncos team fresh off a solid AFC victory over the New England Patriots. While the win was nice, it almost was a terrible defeat, as quarterback Drew Lock was seemingly giving the ball away in the fourth quarter.

Against the Chiefs, the kind of effort he put together last weekend will not fly, and I expect Kansas City to go into Denver and get the victory. This past week, the Chiefs added former All-Pro running back Le’Veon Bell to the fold, and the combination of him and Clyde Edwards-Helaire gives the Chiefs a dominant one-two punch in the backfield.

Denver will play the Chiefs tough, but in the end, Kansas City just has way too many weapons to be upset in this one. Sure, Sammy Watkins and Mitchell Schwartz are out this week, but Kansas City should be able to fill those voids and come away with a double-digit victory on the road.

Prediction: Chiefs 28, Broncos 17
