Raiders should take a look at Ryan Kerrigan

While Barrett and Dupree will have higher upside, four-time Pro Bowler 32-year-old Ryan Kerrigan is no slouch. Though age is quickly catching up to him, Kerrigan mustered 11 sacks these past two years along with 20 QB hits in that span.

Despite Kerigan’s decline due to age, strictly speaking in regards to pass-rushing, he’s still effective. PFF graded his pass rush at 69.9 for the 2020 season. Per Pro Football Reference, Kerrigan has accumulated a solid total of 68 QB pressures over the last three years. This takes into account hurries, knockdowns, and sacks.

Next. Expensive contracts the Las Vegas Raiders could move on from in 2021. dark

With the Washington Football Team going through a youth movement since last year, the team has prepped to move on from Kerrigan. Unlike Barrett, Kerrigan should come cheaper and in retrospect would be an improvement over say, Carl Nassib all things considered. We’ll have to wait and see whether Raiders brass opts for free agency or the draft to address any EDGE upgrades.
