2021 NFL Draft: 3 ideal picks at No. 17 for the Las Vegas Raiders

Caleb Farley, CB – Virginia Tech

Caleb Farley is another blue-chipper who could fall out of a stroke of incredible luck for the Raiders, but for a different reason than Darrisaw.  With cornerback prospects like Patrick Surtain and Jaycee Horn solidifying their stock with historic pro-day performances, they will each likely be the first two cornerbacks taken.

Meanwhile, Farley underwent a back procedure that forced him to withdraw from his pro day. His status shouldn’t be in too much doubt in the long term, however, there could be concerns about his ability to play early in the 2021 season. If his medicals aren’t stellar there’s a possibility his draft stock takes a slight hit.

Farley when healthy is as explosive as it gets with very good height and weight for the position. Of course, the Raiders have already heavily invested in the cornerback position however when a player of Farley’s caliber falls in your lap you don’t pass that up.
