2021 NFL Draft: Day 3 linebackers for Las Vegas Raiders to target

Dylan Moses looked like he was going to be a first-round pick after his first few years at Alabama but a knee injury has derailed things and caused his stock to drop considerably. Ranked as a five-star recruit and the third-best recruit coming out of Florida, Moses came to Alabama in 2017 and played mostly in a reserve role initially but was still named to the SEC All-Freshman team.

Moses broke out in 2018 and was named Second Team All-SEC after leading Alabama in tackles and putting up 86 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, and 3.5 sacks.  He missed the 2019 season with an ACL injury but started 13 games in 2020 though he reportedly was playing through significant pain all throughout.

After the 2020 season, Moses needed further surgery on his knee which kept him out of the pre-draft process but he reportedly ran a 4.46 40 in 2017 before his injury. Many scouts point out that he lost a lot of his explosiveness after the knee injury but he still plays with the same intelligence and aggression that he did before.

The hope here is that Moses will be back to his old self two years removed from the injury and he would certainly be worth the gamble on day 3 if he is fully recovered. Even if he is not the same ability as he used to, he could still be a competent player at the NFL level and could provide excellent depth for a team in sore need of some like the Raiders.
