Las Vegas Raiders to face mostly non-elite QBs in 2021
The Rest (8 Games)
- Tua Tagovailoa (Miami Dolphins), Daniel Jones (New York Giants), Andy Dalton (Chicago Bears), Drew Lock 2x (Denver Broncos), Carson Wentz (Indianapolis Colts), Ryan Fitzpatrick (Washington Football Team), Jalen Hurts (Philadelphia Eagles)
For eight of their 17 games this upcoming season, the Silver and Black play against quarterbacks that they certainly should be able to beat. Starting with Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami Dolphins, the Raiders play a collection of quarterbacks that are very beatable, and we saw last year that the Raiders can certainly fluster Tua.
The man who came in to replace Tua, and eventually beat the Silver and Black, Ryan Fitzpatrick, is on the Washington Football Team, and Las Vegas plays him again this season. Daniel Jones is entering a make-or-break season with the New York Giants, and who knows if it will be Andy Dalton, or the rookie Justin Fields by the time the Raiders play the Bears this season.
Carson Wentz is back with Frank Reich with the Indianapolis Colts, and as long as Aaron Rodgers does not land in Denver, those two Broncos games against Drew Lock are certainly winnable. Finally, we do not even know if Jalen Hurts is the guy in Philadelphia, so that is another game where the quarterback could be different by the time we get there.
Three must-win games for the Las Vegas Raiders in 2021
The 2021 NFL schedules were released on Wednesday, and while every game is important, the Las Vegas Raiders must win these three matchups.
As you can see, the Raiders will take on some of the best signal-callers in football this upcoming season, but for the most part, they will play against quarterbacks they can certainly beat. Overall, they are going to need to play every game like they are facing Patrick Mahomes, but after a gauntlet of elite quarterbacks in 2020, this group is very beatable.
