Las Vegas Raiders: Game by game predictions after the 2021 bye week

Week 18 – Jan. 9 vs. LA Chargers

The Raiders and Chargers will be facing off in what could be a huge matchup for both teams to decide playoff spots or if things go well, the AFC West divisional race. The Chargers were crowned as the team to beat in the AFC after beating the Chiefs, Raiders, and Browns but have dropped two straight to the Ravens and Patriots since then.

The Chargers are still capable of doing great things on offense but their weakness on defense, especially against the run, could be their downfall. The Raiders were unable to get anything going on the ground against them in the first matchup partially due to the score and partially due to their own struggles. They have righted the ship a bit since then on the offensive line and could potentially get Richie Incognito back well before this game.

Las Vegas wasn’t able to win at SoFi Stadium in a game that felt like an away matchup for both teams but they should be able to avoid a sweep at home. This could be the biggest Raiders game in recent memory if both teams continue to play well and the Raiders will be grateful that the grudge match will be at Allegiant Stadium. Raiders win a close one against a very good Chargers team.

Win – Record: 11-6
